Warbird Tram Tour History at AirVenture Oshkosh

The Warbird Tram Tour marks its 16th year as a free, narrated experience at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. It runs daily from Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., allowing visitors to explore historic aircraft without cost. (Primary source)

Over time, the route expanded to include all 12 zones within the Warbirds area. The display features over 400 to 500 historic airplanes, including jets, fighters, bombers, and trainers that served in major 20th-century conflicts. Many of these aircraft have been restored with colorful combat paint schemes. (Primary source)

The tour starts at the Warbirds Tram station located where Eide Rd. meets the P1 taxiway, next to Warbirds Alley. Guests receive a free site map to navigate the extensive display area. (Primary source)
